Need to borrow a heater (Rockland)

    Like the title says...

Is there anybody in Rockland that would have a spare heater I could borrow for about a week?

    Thanks,

    Marc

I had 2 x 150 watts and 1 x 250 watts... I thought that would be enough for now... But I guess not... My basement is not completly finished and it's pretty colder down there...

    I'm thinking if I put 2x 300 watts I would be fine...

What do you have as heaters in your 180?

Well I was thinking the same but I already had a 250w and couldn't find a 300w at that time. But I did received a new one from Santa last week.

So now I have 2 x 250w and my temp goes up around 79.5 and 80.3 during the day but it drop back to 78.2 during the night.

So when I'm home in the evening I'm plugging up 2 more 150w to help maintain my temp. I don't want to set it up to high because I haven't being through summer heat yet and figure it would go up by a few degrees.

I have a 300w and 200w running in mine ... temp seems to stay pretty steady around 79-80, lights on or off.

How long does it take to heat up the tank?

In the past 12 hours it only went up 4 degrees :crap:

If you have livestock in it then you want it to go up slowly. If it is still just cycling then grab a large pot fill it with water and throw it on the stove. Don't actually boil it, just warm it till its hot and slowly mix back into the tank.

BTW with my sump in our basement I had 1500 watts of heaters on my previous setup and plan on 2000w with the new setup to maintain the temp primarily during the winter months.
