Lost my BBT Anemone and Emerald :(

    This is driving me nutty.

Ive had a BBT Anemone for around 3-4 months now and he was doing fine. He has 2 tomato clowns that wont leave him alone.

I got home from work yesterday and found the Anemone shrivelled up into a lil ball. Then I noticed that my emerald crab was dead sitting underneath it. I took the crab out...and then today the BBT has not moved...hes dead

Could the emerald crab have done something to it? The only thing I did the night before was feed it some shrimp....other then that....everything was the same.

and then come out like nothing had happened.

chances are the clowns attacked the crab to protect the anenome. the ensuing fight probally closed up the anenome. he might still be fine. usually when they die the go fast.[fall apart]

well Im pretty sure it was dead...it totally detached itself off the rock..and was just sitting on the sand bed. I took it out of the tank since I thought it might poison the rest of the tank. When I took it out...it looked like a pile of jelly.

    no hosp setup

Im 99.9% positive he was dead. The base of him had let go of the rock he was attached to..and all his tentacles were shrivelled and the colour was totally gone out if him. Also...his mouth was open and not one piece of him was moving for 2 full days.

hmm he could have been still alive but out of water for an hour might have pushed him over.
