    New Wrasse ID

So I went to the LFS on Friday to pick up my new Pyramid Butterfly and found this fairy wrasse begging me to take him home. Much to my suprise my wife agreed and he is now swimming happily in my QT tank. The only problem is I have not been able to find a proper ID for him. (if I had Scott Micheals wrasse book that might help :b15

It was labelled as a Tahition Fairy Wrasse. The colors are much brighter pink then shown in my photo as well as the tail and fins are a brighter yellow.

    Thanks for the help.

looks like a scared six-lined wrass to me.. see the pale lines and the green tale.
they go pale/loose their color with bad/no feeding or when they are scared.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

Definately a fairy wrasse not a six line. Believe me in person this is not a pale fish, but in my QT is just a single CF house lamp, poor colors, combined with a lousy camera.

They receieve a Fiji shipment, and called it Tahition so I would have to assume from around those islands. Now it was a BA's so they "shipments" are sometimes very diverse as they are split up in the Florida holding facilities, so not positive where it came from.
