    Wavy Sea Pump Problem

I've been running a Mag 9.5 on my Way Sea for many months but recently decided I wanted more flow, so I swapped the pump for a Mag 12, which is within the max flow output. The flow is what I want but the rotation speed is GREATLY reduced - even after reset. Any ideas what may be causing the flow problem and better yet, any thoughts about correcting it?

ya.. your mag12 is nowhere near its limits of 2300gph
I think it might be durty. possibly saltcreep or coraline.
try dipping it in vinegar or anything that will desolve calcium deposits.
I use vinegar and warm water.
check the seals as well, you might have some binding somewhere.
i'm thinking you probebly remove the wavysea to install the new pump or unplugged it for a little while, it might of dried a bit and binded which is slowing it down.

oh.. and its a bit normal that it slows down as more water is harder to turn.. but i dont think that little extra should bring it to a crawl either.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.
