Is this just a bad idea??? mixing clowns...

I have two Tomato Clowns that I regret getting now. I had bought a carpet anemone and was told by my LFS that I would have better luck with the Tomato clowns taking to my carpet then the other clowns they sold there... I now realize that getting the two tomatos was a bad idea and I don't think they will ever take to it. They fell in love with a couple of hairy mushrooms and a frogspawn and have shown zero interest in the carpet.

I know the tomatos are very agressive, but is it absolutly impossible to keep another breed of clowns such as perks or saddlebacks with the tomatos?

    Thanks

I wouldn't do it... the tomato clowns will surely kill the perc's or saddlebacks. I had a really hard time getting my pair of tomatos out of my main tank... took almost 2 weeks to get them into the trap. Good Luck

I kind of knew the answer before I asked it, but I thought someone would asy they had great success with two pairs of clowns... wishful thinking.

I may have to start draing some water and removing rock. Those guys are just too fast... or just leave it as it is. I would be a shame to have a carpet that didn't host anything though.

Leafster - Try a clear glass mug or plastic fish bag with a little gentle persuasion into it with the net. They can't see the clear bag and are a lot easier to catch.

Can always try a 1.5 l pepsi bottle 3 strings attached If you can move the frogspawn and or the shrooms into it ? wait for them to go in to host and pull the strings

I just gave up and removed some rock and water. I got them out and nothing seems to be too upset. Well, the clowns of course were a little upset...
