    Doctor Tang? Ocean Tang?

I was visiting a local fish store and they had these two types of fish which in my opinion looked exactly the same...I've never heard of either. ARe they called something else or are they Atlantic Blue tangs?

I asked the employees if he knew much about them and he said "how big is your tank?" I said "75 gallon" then he said "you can't keep a tang in a tank any smaller than 150 gallons because all tangs grow to the size of a foot ball."

I was about to tell him that I wasn't asking if I could have one I was just wondering if he knew much about that particular kind of tang but after he said that I was like "okay...thanks" and walked away....lol

I'm still curious though if anyone knows much about this kind of tang...not that I am going back there to buy it...or anything else from there...I just like to look

    lol, Doctor Tang eh?
Is that anything like a Nurse Shark?

Ive never heard of either of those terminologies. They're probably are just talking about Hippo Tangs.

    Which LFS was this at?

It doesnt look like an atlantic blue tang....they said that the ones with the vertical lines through it were Doctor tangs and the ocean tangs didn't have the line through them but besides that minor difference they were exactly the same fish.

Besides that they were selling them for 19.99. I would assume the atlantic Blus tangs would go for alot more than that???

They are def not regal tangs

I know they had the convict tangs there:

But even then $20 would be crazy cheap.
