    Mystery Hitch Hiking Discs

    Hello,
I got some nice looking hitch hikers on some live rock. They look like a mushroom but they move around like anemone's. They are about half the size of a dime. When I touch them they respond quickly by shrinking/ shriveling into themselves/ hole in rock. I have approximately 10 of them in my tank now. Like I said, they seem to move until they find a spot they like. I FINALLY got some good pics of them! Here they are:

    Anyone know what they are?

It's a little hard to tell but they could be majeno anemones. If that is the case they are invasive like apstaisa and should be killed before they spread.

I believe they are mini carpet anemone's and they are harmless. Apparently they are quite sought after as well! Thanks for responding! Now I wonder if I can frag these! :b15:

I wrote to Wet Web and the girl that responded did not know what they were.. was not very helpful. I wrote back to tell her that I knew what they were now and APPARANTLY it even got Bob Fenner's attention.. here is the msg I got back..

Thanks for the response. I just
wanted to update you on my hitch hiker. I have posted on some forums
and searched the internet and I believe 100% that it is a mini carpet
anemone. Most stay under 1"-1.5" in diameter. A lot of people have
shown interest in these little guys! I might have to look into mini
    carpet anemone propagation!
    <Cool... thanks for the info/update!
