Question Cleaner Shrimp Keep touching my coral

Hi, I just got 2 small Button Polyps and after I put it in, my cleaner shrimp and hermit crab keep "touching it". I am not sure the eat the coral or do some clean up, anyone can help me on this? This is my first time to know about coral.

    Thanks.

they shouldn't touch them unless the polyps are already dying, in this case they will/should clean the mess.
do you feed your cleaner shrimp ? if there is nothing in the tank other then the shrimp, you may not be feeding, it will find something to eat if you dont provide food

I only had one cleaner shrimp that would rip into my corals... I don't think its their normal behavior. You could try feeding them a little more like liv has stated to see if that helps

Thanks. I keep monitoring this 2 days and I "guess" it is because they want to clean up the rock or the surface of the coral. I did feed the shrimp and all of the living things inside my tank. I will keep you guys update if anything change. Thanks again.

But I have one more question, for the small Button Polyps, do I really need a T5 or MH?

Button polyps should do great under t5's.
MH's are not necessary for this type of coral.
