    shoulder tang

    are shoulder tangs reef safe.. and will it get along with yellow tangs?

    yes they are, and they should be able to get along in a 180G, though the shoulder tang gets pretty large and would likely eventually become the boss.

    do you know where to get one???

    is it a juvenile ( yellow )?? or mature fish??

    there are lots avail at the LFS here. they are juveniles

    With time they will get big, usually ~12-14"
    they may decide to re-aquascape your place if corals take too much space or they think it requires a little trim

    I also assume your talking about the Orange shoulder tang ?
    Acanthurus olivaceus ?

    The yellow tang is a zebrasoma sp. so technically different species and you shouldn't have much to worry about, they may pick small fights but it shouldn't wont last long as long as there are enough places to hide.

    uptheck, yes its a reef safe tang. here's some of the link i found out on internet. you may want to read about this fish. nice fish but you need a lot of space for this fish it will grow big though.:b16:

    i was in MS last saturday to pick up some cyclops and i saw 3 of this juvinile orange shoulder at their tank . redbelly has one though, im not sure if its for sale.
