usually sponges prefer minimal to no light and good flow but not too strong.

I will try but, I am not so good with transferring my photos from my camera, but I googled spider spong and I came up with the same sponge I have. Just wondering if I need to feed the sponge regularly.

ahh yes, the sponge with the white symbiotic zoos living on it.
This species if from deep waters.
Requires low light, good flow, but nothing direct.
All around, its a really hard sponge to keep! Sadly most of them die.

try golden pearls or clam food.
Also, most sponges do not tolerate being pulled out of the water which is why usually most die off fast after purchasing them.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

Thats what I was afraid of, not that I ever exposed it to the air but during collection or transport I am sure someone would be tempted to go the easy route and pull it out the water. I was sure I did most of those things you mentioned. Yeah I am afraid my little frag probably not make it.
    Thanks

A fellow reefer gave me a 6-inch piece of this stuff. It looked good for the first 2 months then started a rapid downhill decline. The hermits then started picking at it and bye-bye sponge.

OMG ! We bought a 3in frag it was soo nice when we got it. It also lost all its "little white line" and then dissapeared.... I was real sad..... But the other day our rock anemone was realy streached out and low and behold there it is, its down to about and inch frag with no polyps but bright orange and looks alive. Its made its self a home under the Anemone and between the rock in a little nook! I still have some faith...what do you guys think ?
