    Lion Fish info

Recently moved my main display tank from main floor to basement. During this process my spare heater failed allowing the water temperature to dive. As a result all of my fish died (Powder Brown Tang, Coral Beauty, Green Chromis, Standard Clown Fish, Goby, Yellow Wrasse & my Cleaner Shrimp). The few corals that I had where in a separate bin and are okay. So I now have a six foot, 140 gallon tank with 40 gallon sump basically empty with only liverock and a few corals.

I have always liked the Lion Fish family but have no experience with them. I know that they will eat almost anything that will fit into their mouths. So I have a few questions and hopefully I can get some good feed back.

I would like to have the following fish:

1 Volitan Lionfish, Pterois volitansor or 2 Dwarf Lionfish, Dendrochirus zebra?
    2 Maroon Clown, Premnas biaculeatus
    1 Yellow Tang, Zebrasoma flavescens

I never had these fish.. so my thinking is only from logic:

like you mentionned.. if it can fit in its mouth.. its food.
so those maroons and even that yellow tang ( if small enough ) are valid food sources or will be in time as the lionfish grows

    my 2 cents..

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

I kept a lion a while back and it is exact if it can fit in its mouth its food. A yellow should be ok depending on size. Id try for a small lion and a lg YT. I did have a marron in as well but it was quite big, and way more aggresive then the lion as well as the cat shark i had . Id put my hand in and evryone hid except the clown lol
I'd def go with the volitan not the dwarfs( my preference only) Volitans are a very awesome fish.

Sorry, I chickened-out. Decided to set-up a mix again, presently have:
    1-Lawnmower
    1-Tomato Clown
    1-Blue Damsel
    1-Hippo Tang
    1-Yellow Tank
    3-Banggai Cardinalfish
    Snails & mixed corals

Presently trying to decide on a fish as my show piece -->thinking Purple Tang or Butterfly fish of some sort.
