I can't see the pic on FB either.

are you by any chance uploading with a wireless router in between ?
sometimes packet loss will do this sort of error.

    mspaint if you have windows
gimp is great on linux & windows.

in mspaint, ( file open, find your image )
open the image, then go to Image, then Strech/Skew ( ctrl-w )
then instead of what is currently there ( 100% ) try 25%.
if its still to big.. do it again, but this time try a larger number like 50%
so its going to be 1/2 of your 25%.. same as doing 12.5% on the original photo kind of thing.

see if it fits the screen properly.. in most cases it should be ok.
then, since you dont want to damage the original image,
do a save as and add something after the image title like a "-small" so you will know that its the tweaked version.

under gimp. ( note that gimp is free for windows too, see gimp.org )
    http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

go to image, then image scale
you will see the amount of pixels there.. probebly something like 4000x3000
change the largest number ( if image is vertical, then height will be bigger )
and change it to ex: 1000 then click scale
it will automatically change the other number according to closest scale.
then file and save as, add a similar note at the end of the file name like -small then hit save.

    hope this helps
