    buffing acrylic or polycarbonate ?

    hey guys,
we all heard of people removing scratches off the acrylic..
I'm wondering if someone local did it. what products were used and where to get them.. I'd love to find the product at like princess auto.
also if tools were used.. what were they ? buffing wheel ? compounds ? etc
I got some pieces to buff both aquarium and motorcycles and would love to try it out instead of replacing them or leaving them as is.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

Try Mark, he is local to me and his tank looks great. I am not sure what he used to polish but I couldn't see any scratches when I had my nose pressed up against the tank. This was the tank that inspired my new 400g.

Look up restoring headlights on youtube. Most methods involve 1000-3000grit wet sandpaper. followed by buffing. You can actually buy mothers polish that's specifically made for acrylic lenses of headlights to restore them back. I've done it myself several times. It's quite easy. Just got to be careful how you buff not to create hot spots on the acrylic.
