    Alveopora Stony Coral

I am looking into getting this coral for my tank (for my ocellaris clowns to host in).
Anyone have any experience or opinions on the Alveopora? here is a link to it (i was thinking of getting the large so that there will be room for the two of them).

Alrha - clowns can sometimes irritate lps corals to death. I have heard somewhere that frogspawn is the exception.

Not a good choice for clowns to host in. I'd recommend a frogspawn, clowns really seem to love them and they are fairly easy to keep.

I have a photo of mine in the gallery.

Its only been 2 months but seems to be OK. Doesn't seem to sting anything. Can't really say much about it. I don't feed it and haven't watched it eat anything.

    Hello

Your clown's don't need a host to do well. And one other thing they will host in what they choose and not what you choose.

correct, but i would like to have something in there that they will enjoy (which would likely be some anemone-like / hairy coral).
now the question is, can i still get the alveopora and hope they will host to the hairy mushroom, or not worth the risk?

I don't think the clowns will host in either alveopora or mushrooms. I'd say try a green frogspawn as suggested.
