    Candy Cane Coral

    The Candy Cane is the latest addition to my reef. as always, i like to hear suggestions/opinions to its care/habits.

    I have both green and red. easy to keep like to be fed at night. watch out for the red though! they have longer sweeping tentacles than the green! they need space.Thye love mysis or actually anything! greens grow faster than the red

    I also have the both types. Mine are opposite from John's...., my red one grows faster. oh..., and yes, the red ones have amazingly long sweepers. Don't underestimate it. Mine is presently near my big sinularia and every morning I see sweepers at least 5" or 6" long on the one side towards the other coral. Thankfully, the Sinularia is a soft coral and simply moves away...., smart guy that one is!!!

    cool. so it is aggressive? would it actually kill another coral?

    Your red grows faster? wow, neat. I really wanted my red to take off[frag you gave me] but it is incredable slow while the green can spit heads easily in a month. The red however has started to show definate signs of splitting from 1 head to 3 which is neat. I've also started feeding it a little more regular.
    P.S the RED brain is doing very very well. He's had 2 run ins with the Anenome over the year but always bounces back.
