Pics of my 280 gallon reef

    Hello everyone.

I just thought I'd post a few pics of my 280 gallon reef here on Aquaria Canada. I switched over from strictly VHO to 3 400 watt radiums and 2 VHOs about 2.5 months ago and love the change.

This is a spectacular tank! Tell us more! How old is it? What kind of equipment are you using?

The variety of shapes and colours is just amazing. Love the powder blue tang!

Thanks Susan. I have visited your sight many times and was always very impressed. My 280 gallon tank has been running for just over 2 years. Many of the corals were from a 125 gallon reef I had setup for 3 years prior.

    Here are some tank specs.

custom built 280 gallon Inter-American eurobraced tank , 70 gallon sump, 3 400 watt radiums (HQI ballasts), 2 VHO actinic on Ice Cap ballasts, TS/24 Tunze Turbelle Stream Kit, Precision Marine calcium reactor, My Reef Creations MR-3 skimmer, 1/2 hp Pacific Coast chiller, DIY kalkwasser reactor from Stephane at Reef Solutions, Reef Filler dosing pump, 2 Gen-X Mak 4 return pumps, 60 gpd Spectrapure RO/DI unit, SPS dominated, some LPS, softies and clams, light fish load.
