    Q Tank Upkeep

I am leaving my fully mature QT empty for about 6 weeks before placing some new stock in it. What, if anything, can I do to keep the water quality up to standard while it sits empty?

In order to keep the tank going it must be feed a supply of ammonia for the bacteria to act upon. SO drop in a divider and add some cheap damsels to keep it active. The divider will keep the damsels from bothering new fish that go into this tank in the future.

I keep my holding tank going when it's empty by just dropping a pinch of flakes or pellets in every day. Works great.
