    Fish ID?

I saw this little guy today, just curious what he is. He's yellow with a red stripe from the eyes/nose to mid-back, he looks like a wrasse. Just curious what he is, he's very cute.

ahhh I called and they said it was a Dottyback Diadem but I always thought they were purple/pink! This it is not!!

Unless I'm totally color blind it's yellow/red(she also said that was the usual colors?!). If it is a dottyback it's way to aggressive for my tank anyhow, that's probably why nobody was messing with him :guns: lol

That's like Tang-Man's pic but not the one I posted. Does anyone know dottyback diadems juvenile colors? maybe that's what it is?

    John,
It's called a Swissguard Basslet and is the pic linked below.
    Cakefan,
No, it's not like the one Vince posted. Did you see it at Big Al's? The one Vince posted is what they have there. I also saw them. Didn't remember seeing what you're describing though and I was just there a couple hours ago.

nm the fish I was talking about is in *my* link and it looked yellow and red and when I called she agreed it was yellow and red but when I got to the store it would change colors.

It is infact a Dottyback Diadem which is weird because I didn't know they had the ability to change the fushia (on top) to a darker color which looks almost red.

    Go figure

Is this at the Big Al's on Sources? If so, take everything they say with a grain of IO salt. While they try to be helpful and friendly, they aren't the most knowledgeable in the city and I guess you can bless their pointy little heads for at least trying!!!:
