    something ate my mushroom??

    Hi,

So I got 3 mushrooms last week which seemed to be doing fine. I moved a red one to a low flow area and left it on the sand bed because it was detaching. The next morning, it was GONE

No where to be found....it just disappeared. Could it have been eaten??? Hermit? cleaner shrimp? Snail? yellow wrasse? false perc? Lochness monster? Can it just simply disintegrate?
    thanks.

I'm betting the lochness monster ate him! That happened in our tank one time, and a few days later we seen a mushroom thriving behind the live rock. Give it a few days maybe and look around, it may just pop up somewhere!
    Good Luck!

I'll lay odds it just shriveled up and got moved around by the current. These suckers can detach and move around when they want to. It'll pop up somewhere....

I had a shroom do a runner on me... and I didn't see it for weeks and suddenly there it is on the SB near the glass, it's moved again, (must be the legs it's grown), when I see it again i'll attach it to a rock.
I tend to agree with Toutouche on the 'current' theory and that it'll return.

yup! found the mushroom the other day (was the red one)! but it wedged itself between the back glass and a rock.It is not able to fully open where it is. But I don't think I can get it out in one piece. I noticed, before it ran away, that while I was trying to place it it let out some juice...I think that if I try to move it now, it would rip

Should I just leave it there? Would it move again if it doesn't like where it is?
    thanks.
