I need a cleanup crew for my refugium

I need some ideas on what to put in there. I have a couple of snails, and a yellow tang who is in there temp. I am starting to get a buildup of crap on the sand, and am also getting small amounts of green slime algae (cyno) I know, not to put hermit's in but am looking for some other ideas for critters to help keep the build up of garbage down. Thank

I've heard alot of good things about the fighting conch. I'd say one or two of those would be pretty good if you are concerned. Why not hermits?

I heard that hermits tend to eat either the pods or the macro. One of the two. I guess putting in a couple wouldn't kill off everything anyway.

I've never heard that but it may be possible. I'd look for somebody elses opinion on the hermits.

What is wrong with hermits? I have 30+ in my main tank along with various snails. I also have some in the sump.

I've heard the same about hermits...they eat stuff you don't want them too.

No hermits for me either. Maybe a conch or cucumber?
