Romeo & Juliet are starting a family!!

I know that this is pretty common, but it's a thrill for me!! My maroon clowns are tending a nice nest of eggs! The weird thing is that they are letting the other fish right by them and I mean right by them...and not chaseing them off?? This is the most non aggresive pair I think I've ever seen. Here's a pic!!

That's so sweet. Beautiful gold stripes on the big female. I can never get over the size difference with maroon pairs!

yeah, it's crazy hey? I had always wanted a pair of goldstripes when I came across a whitestriped maroon with yellow in the whitestipe on his head. He was very small, so I figured he was a goldstripe juvenile and bought him for a whitestripe price. A year later he is whitestripped with a bit of yellow in the stripes? I almost think he maybe a cross between the two. Anyways, I find it sad that the fry don't survive.

Oh I see it now, I didn't even notice the bit of yellow in the males stripes. That's interesting, maybe he is a mixed breed.

The first time my ocellaris pair had eggs they laid them right next to the anemone like yours are. The anemone's tentacles brushed them away after a few days. The clowns protected them while they were there but once they were gone they didn't seem to care.
