    Ick - Domino Damsel

My domino damsel seems to have very minute little white spots on it. I'm assuming this may be Ick.

    The other fish, look spotless.

I probably won't be able to get this little guy out of the tank with a net. Should I make a customer trap and QT him? If you have any good fish trap suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Another alternative would be to grab a UV sterlizer. What are the pro/cons of using one? I think it will kill the parasites although I'm concerned it make eliminate the goodies in the tank.

    thanks again !!

Before you go any further, I'd make real sure that it is indeed Ick. It could possibly be some flakes of sand stuck to him. Damsels are almost invinxible and built tougher than a tank!!!! I have never heard of a damsel getting Ick. Just be sure it is indeed that before going to all kinds of trouble.

If you have any doubts i would invest in a UV serolizer you can find them now built into a canister filter.
