    Ca Test Kit Shortage?

I've been trying to buy a Calcium test kit locally and online for 2 weeks with no luck. I am trying to get my calcium reactor tweeked (just replaced the regulator).

I've been without a test kit for a week and most everybody has them on backorder for at least a couple more weeks. That is a long time to "fly by the seat of my pants".

Every morning I wake up and go downstairs bracing myself for a precip event ( I am very good at precip events).

Does anybody in Montreal have an extra Calcium kit I could use for a couple weeks? I'll replace it with a new one.

    Thanks,

    Bill:frustrate

I'm trying to puzzle through how to manage this situation. I guess I could adjust the reactor to target an alk of around 4 - 4.2 dkh and then hope that the reactor and kalk drip stabilize the Ca at a reasonable level.

This hobby is full of challenges.

    Ivan,

I tried your site and the form said they were out of stock.

I'll send you an order now.

    Bill,
As you said, simply adjust your Alk levels and try to target a PH of 6.5 in the effluent.
