Finally bought a pair of long sensitive gloves

I thought I'd share this others.
I finally got some 3/4 length gloves to use in the tank.
they allow for sensitivity, have no powder and go all the way up your arm.
I got them through a vet. (They are the rectal examination gloves) it took a few vet's to find one that would order them for me, and believed my story about the tank, I think some thought I was strange!!!
So, if you need long gloves, go to your vet..
They cost $29.95 for a box of 100.

Cool, did the vets look at you funny when you asked for the rectal examination gloves? I've got to get me some of those.

Susan- if you can't get them locally let me know. I have a close friend that is a vet- I know he would order some for you.

yes, I received some strange looks, and I'm sure that some (all!) didn't believe me, and my story about a fish tank and the importance of keeping 'hands out' and protection from stinging...
I even asked some for the wholesalers names when they refused me, and they wouldn't give it to me. And I don't look like a fetish freak iether...

I resorted to asking a friend that's a vet and he ordered them in, (after some quick talking on my behalf....) Oh well, I got my gloves anyway. Btw when I went to get them, even after he had explained the story to the clinic he's at, I still got a 'look' from the receptionist, and had to explain it to her as well!!!!

funnily enough they run for cover......
My friend the vet, said that if a dog came in that needed shoulder high gloves to examine, he'd quit there and then!!!!!!
Since using them more, I've found that they tear fairly easily and I now put a 'food handlers' glove on top and an elastic band around my wrist, to stop the water getting in.
I much prefer the 'long glove' method. (for the inhabitants and my nail polish...)
Just a thought here, but, if they tear easily, then they must tear on the vets hands too, and they're in a predicament that I wouldn't want to be in!!!!!!
    Yuck!
