    no food for 7 days?

what do you guys think?? Is that risking it? 2 ocellaris, 1 yellow wrasse, 1 royal gramma, 1 cleaner shrimp, crabs, snails, no refugium.....

I've done 4 days no food....but I feel I might be pushing it with 7...I might look into a feeder, but just don't like the way it works, plus the way my tank is setup it doesn't fit very well.

    thoughts?
    thanks.

Don't you have anyone that can come by and feed every other day or so?

There is also Murphy's Law to consider. Everything will be working OK until you go away. Having someone to come in at least once to check that the pumps, heaters, etc are still doing what they are supposed to is a good idea, IMO

I have left my tank alone for up to 8 days. Twice.

The first time, I left daily portions packed up in the fridge, and instructed my next door neighbor to feed them their daily portions, and spot check the tank equipment.

The 2nd time, I got myself an automatic feeder. This worked..... however I wouldn't use it on a constant basis.

Ideally, if you can get someone to pass by, do it.
