Its not the Flatworm Exit, but the nasty flatworm juice which is bad, so it depends on how bad a case you have.
If you are really infested, I'd say a 50 to 60% w.c with lots o' carbon should do. If it's not so bad an infestation you could do 30 to 40 and still run lots of carbon.
I just dosed F.E. last week and had no problems, but I ran a lot of carbon and Poly Filter and my infestation wasn't that bad- I did no water change at the time. I have a pretty large volume of water so I didn't think the juice would be too concentrated, but on a 50 gallon the juice can be more concentrated AND a manageable water change will have more effect on diluting the nasty juices!!
BTW I dosed for 900 gallons in a 400 gallon system AND let it stew for a whole day and I didn't kill the flatworms- killed some of them, but they are back. Next time, I"ll use a 1200 gal, dose.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM!! they really do help
    Good luck...

40 to 50% should be OK for a one time occurance. If your flatworms are bad, I would probably plan on 40 to 50% after the treatment with lots of carbon and poly filter and then another 40 to 50% about 24 hours later.

Be sure to siphon out as many as you can before you start. Carbon used actively will really help take the toxins out as well.

When I treated my tank I tripple dosed the first time and then one week later I did a double dose to get the last few. Haven't seen 'em since.

Good luck! I hope this goes smoothly for you. Be sure to keep us posted!
