    Little White specs

OK. I see these little white specs on the LR and the back glass. They look like little rectangles with a little space then a cycle for a head.

    Are these flat worms?

They are so tiny that they will not show up in a pic.

I'm about to go look on the net for them.

    Any Ideas?

Could they be copepods? Flatworms usually aren't that small and don't have a head.

Could you sketch the outline and post it? If it's not on Ron's page it's probably not a flatworm. If it's eating algae then it probably won't eat corals.

Ok, definitely not a flatworm. If it's really tiny it's probably a type of copepod, there are something like a thousand species, 99% of them harmelss. Could also be an amphipod I guess. Either way doesn't sound like a problem. I'd just watch where they are, if they are just eating algae off the rocks and glass no problem. If you start to see them on corals, then perhaps consider contacting Ron Shimek for a positive ID. He's a great guy and will actually let you mail him a few samples for him to identify. I've done it.
