    Question Possible coral death?

My devils hand doesnt seem to be doing so hot the past two days. It started in the middle of the day on Wed. I noticed that the left half of it was dark, almost like a gun metal grey, with no polyp extension, the right side was tan color with extensions. As the day went on the grey was moving across the coral as the polyp extension decreased. it does not seem to be melting away, there is no slim cover, it would alway fall over on it side at night then swell in the morning, however the past two days it has not absorbed the water and stood back up. Any ideas? Thoughts?

how about tank temp ? Mine was constant at 79 in the winter and slowly creaped up to 82 as the summer came around without me noticing.

Devil's hand is a type of leather and leathers are known for this. Sometimes it lasts part of a day - sometimes a few days. The first time my finger leather did this, it lasted 5 days! Just make sure that there is come current blowing on it to help remove the slime coat that it will shed when it comes back to life.

Frightening the first time you see it, right?
