    Space Aquarium

Elliptical suspended aquarium with no visual obstructions.
“The suspended Space Aquarium concept eliminates the awkward edges and angles associated with conventional aquariums. An equally original mounting system creates remarkable all-round visibility, so you can see and enjoy the aquatic life inside your aquarium as never before. A high-performance organic filtration system maintains a clean aquatic environment with minimal upkeep.”.

I wonder what a "high-performance organic filtration system" is.

So basically, in that first picture on that website, I see a tank that appears to have the following dimensions..

    Tank Length = 60 inches
    Tank Width = 4 inches
    Tank Height = 24 inches

    Tank volume is calculated as
    Tank Volume = 24.9 Gallons

.... and they've got a Hippo tang with several other fish in there???????
I am Homer of BORG... Prepare to be..OOOO!! DONUT!!!!!!

Don't forget about the surface area for the gas exchange. I would think the oxygen level would be way low. IMO this is as bad as the aquariums that you could buy on eBay with a picture frame to hang on the wall. They always showed angels in them. I always wondered how they expect the angels to turn around.

Still can't figure out where/what the filtrations system is.

anyone else think the fish are cut & pasted into the pic?!? They look fake to me....(check out the 'reflection' of the tank on the floor of the first pic... funny how the aquarium shape doesn't fit the distortion of the reflection --not to mention its bright day light in the pic.. shouldn't be that kinda reflection in a daytime pic IMO)
I've noticed that raising kids & fish are similar: Patience & dedication really pays off!

or maybe it is those battery operated or magnetic ones that you buy in stores just for show.

Cool looking, but I have kids and I can just imaging my two year old stress testing the engineer's tension & torsion calculations while alternating between saying "fishy!!!" and making Tarzan like screems.

Then in addition to the usual "why's there water in the basement" discussion with my spouse, I imagine adding to that a "how'd we get a hole in the ceiling / floor", and or "our kids got squished how?" conversation.

But maybe I'm just being a "glass half full" kinda guy right now.

    Cheers!
