    Angel choice

Im trying to decide on a new angel. Ive been looking at the half black, bicolor, Coral beauty (already had one), potters, and fishers. what do you guys think of these, any you have had? or any others you think i should consider?

    Thanks

Coral Beauty is the least likely to cause problems. I have a well behaved bicolor but I know of others who have had them cause massive damage to corals and clams. I know one person who has a potters that is very aggressive and another who has one with no problems. No experience with the fishers or half black.

I've kept 4 angels myself and have come to believe that these fish are very much individuals. Different members of the same species act very differently. I really believe if you get them small and feed them well you have the best chance of success with any of them.

I'll just add that unless you have much experience keeping fish, it would be best to stay away from the Potters as they are somewhat harder to keep.

What happened to your coral beauty?

If the coral beauty died, I'd avoid another angel in your tank until it matures more. That guy was as healthy as a horse and fat when you got him back from me.

i have no idea....everything is doing so well. i just couldnt find him one morning and then i spotted his half eaten body under some rock. i think it was a case of old age and alot of sh*t and abuse from tank crashes and tank changes. but it only died the other day, so it was not due to the movement from your tank to mine. im not going to get one for a little while. just trying to decide on the next one!
