    pink sea cucumber: safe????

    seen at a LFS:
    colochirus quadrangularis

    Many of the colourful sea cucumbers are very toxic. Some have been known to take out a whole tank when they die. I don't know if yours is that type or not but you might want to make sure before you buy it. It's very pretty, I'd be tempted by that one too.

    Hi Beluga…….I have seen red ones in LFS. The LFS call them red cucumbers. Are we talking about the same thing? I was asking myself the same question. They are selling them for $11.99.
