How do you get rid of Flower Anemones ?

I thought the one I had in the tank a couple of months ago was cool. I don't think the 10 I have now is cool anymore.

Anyone have advise on getting rid of these things?

    Thanks!

Just to be sure, are you talking about flower anemone:

    or Aiptasia:

are you talking about aiptasia ?

if so, there are a few options, the chemical warfare way..
( ie: Joes Juice or a kalkwasser paste that you feed the anemone. It works great.. but you will most likely never get them all.

I suggest you go the natural way and get one or more of the following; peppermint shrimps, copperband fish, aiptasia eating nudibranch.

I personnaly have a copperband and he keeps the place clean from this pest.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

Can you post a pic please?

I have never heard of a flower anemone splitting one, never mind 10 times!

Did you buy it originally or did it just start growing on your rock?
