    Krazy Glue!!

I found some plastic to go onto the end of the pipe. Is it safe to use krazy glue? This stuff is toxic, but I would only be using a few small drops!!

    Dermp,
It is in fact the cyanoacrylate type of glue that you HAVE to use.

Super glues are typically ethyl-cyanoacrylate and have been used for years instead of stitches by midwives. Basically over the counter krazy glue & it's competitors. ($5)

The biggest reason it's not used as much anymore (for suturing) is because it's not as flexiable as butyl-cyanoacrylate, (3M sells this as Vetbond about $13 US for 3ml) or the fairly reciently aproved octyl-cyanoacrylate. (Dermabond - $35 for 0.5ml)

Octyl-cyanoacrylate is an even longer chain, sometimes used for heavy suturing and it seems to inhibit bacteria.

Anyway the short of this is cyanoacrylate based glues are safe

    Cheers!

Yeah..., and it even sometimes helps cyanobacteria to grow!!!! So, if you have a nutrient export problem, you should be careful using this stuff!!!
