    Finally setup the WH7

I finally got off my A$$ and got those much needed blues setup on the back tank. It couldn't of been easier and the ligh/cost ratio is awesome. I recommend anyone looking to setup VHO to go with the WH7.

One thing though... do you guys/gals think I should go with 2 Actinics with the 400 watt 65k MH? or should I use 1 Actinic and 1 aquasun? Thanks in advance.

    Hi All,

I just wired my WH7 with 2 110 bulbs in series as the diagram in the other posts and there only appears to be a little amount of light at one end of each bulb (the end wired to ballast).... does the WH7 need to warmup up ? Does anybody know the problem or how to solve ???

    thanks,
    Nick.

That is exactly how mine is wired except i used 4 red....

According to the WH7 website I may have a bad connection somwhere... how often or what would be the odds of a bad endcap ? All the wires are twisted together very well....

I used 4 red wires too, drives the bulbs to the Max. 1 loose wire will cause it to barely fire at one end at least thats what happened to me. If you are using waterproof end caps take the bulb out and stick a tiny screw driver into the small holes .that will release the wires then push them back in again.

those end caps that i picked up from you are they the same thats in your display ?
the reason i ask is that the vho bulbs are very hot even after only a 5 hr light cycle
do they go into a melt down after a certain amount of time or do they last a few yrs.
    how old are yours now?
not to concerned about replacing them just dont want them to start dripping into the tank LOL
