    Fish Wastes

My tank, god bless him, is a big eater. and as goes a big eater, he is always crapping all over the tank (and i mean a lot). being that he is a big fish, it is significant. my question is: does this just disolve in the water and get broken down by bacteria? or do the crabs/snails/shrimp help recycle it by eating it? would corals care to eat this as well?

Yes to all the above. A little bit of everything happens to it. If not your tank would be a mess in a short time. I do not know if corals would make any use of it but they are filter feeders and don't have a lot of control of whats in the water they filter their food from.
