drilling a hole to the basement

    hey guys,
if I want to drill a hole to go to the basement (2 holes) for the drain and the return, will I have problems when I sell the house? How would you cover that up?
I have carpet in the room
Here is a pick of where it'll be:

Just keep the piece you cut out of the carpet. It's easy enough to fix the wood underneath and then just glue the piece of carpet back in. Great spot for a tank.

Do you find distracted when you watch TV? Seems too much light reflected on the TV.

Depends on the carpet. Heck, this is a reef tank. Just tell yourself that if you move you will have to replace the carpet. Believe me, it's going to have worse than a hole in it after your reef has been there a year or so

well... I never actually thought about that.... damn! Since the tank isn't set up yet, I haven't turned on the lights at the same time as the TV yet.... good point though.

I'll need to replace it even if the sump and everything is in the basement?

just make a slice in the carpet and spread it around the hose instead of cutting a chunk out
