    sailifert calcium test kit question.?

In the final step when adding drops at a time, is suppose to turn blue or actually go clear for the test to be finished? Thanks.

The test should go from bright pink to a purple-blue. I put in a drop of the time, swirl it around for a second and when the solution turns blue or purple-blue you take your reading. I have never had a result where the test went clear.

Wow what a difference. I was using the hagen kits and they where giving me a reading of over 420. I did some searchin and found out that everyone thinks silifert kits are the best for calcium. I just did my test and got a reading of 320. That's why I was so confussed. What a difference. Well got to go get my calcium up.

Salifert Kits have given me the most accurate and consistent results and they are very easy to read. Much better than Hagen kits that's for sure.

Gools, It's funny, When I was using Aquarium systems calcium test kits last year, they would show 400-450, whereas when I switched to Salifert, I too got a reading of around 300-320.

Salifert test kits are by far much better and easier.
