I haven't used them, I tried to pick up a used one on RC last week but someone got to it first.

I'm probably going to order one next week from somewhere.

Yes, I'm ordering one of those.

The LCD, I'm not sure...maybe it just says when sensor 1 or 2 is activated or something.

    Goto www.reeffanatic.com and ask them

    Fishmonger, Azonic.
There is no LCD screen on the Reeffanatic unit. They are just using an enclosure that has a provision for an LCD screen, such as on their pH controllers that use the same enclosures.

I build single stage units that can be used with 1 or 2 floatswitches, and latching circuit units (like the Reeffanatic ones) for a little more.

The latching circuit ones are normally coupled with an electronic solenoid to control the water output from your RO/DI filter. However, I could omit the solenoid and you could use it as a top-off.

Standard Auto Top-off unit with 1 floatswitch: $60
Standard Auto Top-off unit with 2 floatswitchs: $70

Latching circuit RO/DI Control unit, 2 floatswitches and solenoid: $115
Latching Circuit Auto top-off unit with 2 floatswitches: $80

    Info on Standard Auto Top-off

Info on Latching Circuit RO/DI control unit

    Thanks!

tang_man: Could you post some pictures of the units you sell?
I'm looking for something that can do everything the reef fanatic model can do. I want to have a freshwater resevoir next to my sump....I want one switch in the sump to turn on/off the topoff pump when the water level decreases...and I also want one in the freshwater resevoir to make sure that the topoff pump won't run dry. ie. come on to topoff sump when the water level in the resevoir is low.

I like the clean look of the controller that comes with the reef fanatic model...not much into the DIY look of things, that's why I'd like to see some pics.

    Hi Azonic,
The top-off units that I make look like this:

The actual floatswitch mounted in the sump is exactly what AC sells here:

The only thing that you have to make yourself is that actual bracket to hold the floatswitch in your sump and/or in your freshwater container. I don't supply these as everyone's needs are different.
