    Clam Question

I have two very small clams that i know need phyto to grow, because they are too small to get all their nutrients from light, i was just wondering who out there uses the technique of placing a pop bottle over the clam and injecting some phyto in ?
I know a few guys on RC use this technique

I used to use it with my sunpolyp as well thats where i got the idea from in the first place, i only plan on doing it once a week tho, because my skimmer takes the phyto out of the water pretty quick

or you can try to run your tank without your skimmer every now and then for the clam and corals to get something to eat. try one week with one week without.
(i know i'm gonna get killed for this).

haha i prefer the constant reassurance of the brown goo from my skimmer

Do most people try and get clams to attach themselves to small rocks ?
