    Plumbing Supplies

Can anyone recomend a store in the Ottawa area that carries SPA flexible PVC tubing? After review I've planned to plumb my tank with it.

If you tell me Home Depot or Canadian Tire I will feel silly, but it's all good

I read that this SPA tubing is reef safe and fits the sched. 40 PVC adapters. Let me know if you know otherwise!

    thanks!

Im not 100% sure if they have it but I know OSD will know for sure. Or you can always give em a call...OSD mentioned to me a store in Ottawa called PVC Plus, they specialize in PVC so they might have what your looking for and if not, its worth the trip to get all the other plumbing supplies you need.

Also, you may want to try Ivan here at AC, I believe he carries flex PVC and he is in Gatineau which isnt too far from Ottawa if you cannot get any locally anywhere else.

You best bet is to PM Ivan for a fast response, he is pretty busy but usually will answer back to your PM pretty fast!

I've been looking for this too. PVC Plus sells a lot of PVC stuff although prices can be a bit high. If Ivan can get it, I'd be interested too. Maybe we could get a group together to buy a large roll (50' it a standard size) to share the cost?

We carry spaflex in 1", 1.5 and 2" and have an order of PVC fittings due to arrive this week... PVC Plus has pretty much everything you might want.. the only problem is they are not cheap...

So you plan on using SPA flex for ALL your plumbing ?? Will that not be more expensive then using regular straight PVC pipe with fittings ?? Im just curious to find out why you are choosing this route, I thought people only did U-Returns with the flex PVC.

Ivan, is the Spaflex listed in your on-line catalogue? I couldn't find it. If it's not there, could you PM us with pricing info. Thanks.

Here's why message board's are handy To be honest, I had plannned on SPA flex based on feedback I received off reefcentral.

I hadn't priced it yet, so I had no idea it was a ton more expensive.

If it's really steep $-wise I'll go back to the reg. PVC pipe. Gotta save some money back for my skimmer
