    leather corals

About 3 weeks ago I added a piece of live rock with 5 mushroom polups on it into my aquarium, and have fed it twice with concentated iodine. Since that time my once thriving leather corals and my xenia corals have become dormant. Is this a reaction to the iodine??

it could be a reactuion to the iodine- not necesarily a bad one, for the leather anyways. Sometimes leathers will close up for a while- maybe weeks, then shed a layer of skin and reopen. Iodine and Xenia is a whole different and VERY poorly understood ballgame. It could go either way...
If you are doing water changes regularly or if theer isn't too much in the tank, chances are you don't need to add iodine
