    Lightbulb Sump question

I want to move one of my baffles, hows the easiest way of doing this. Can i just drain the sump and re-silicone and wait for an hour then put it back in action. Or will this cause death and destruction. I already have the right silicone so thats not an issue its just that i want to make more room in one of my compartments.

    Any thoughts,
    thanks

NO ... Silicone need a minimum of 24 hours to fully cure.

Well it would be best to dry it out and fix it correctly with the silicone and its required drying time. However ... in a pinch ... you may be able to remove that baffle, and if it is a real close fit to the width of the tank, wedge it in place at its new location with some THIN pieces of rubber or silicone tubing. If you do this be very careful NOT to break the sumps glass sides. Also understand that if this is the last baffle .. the one that controls the water level in that chamber ... it will no longer function that way.
Another option may be to use that water proof glue that is used to hold frags to rock. I have never used it so I don't know if it would really be a good choice.

Thanks, thats great, your right it is not the last baffle so i will not have to worry about it functioning that way.
