OK so you now have 3 pumps. 2 @ 500 GPH and 1 @ 5000 GPH correct? Are these all in-line pumps? Is the tank set up with a closed loop system?
I would use 1 of the 500 GPH to turn over the sump, 1 500 GPH to supply a skimmer and perhaps a refuge if it is not part of the sump system. and then hook up the 1 @ 5000 GPH into some sort of closed loop set up that uses MANY outputs. i am not one that thinks you can have too much flow within the tank but that flow must not be a jet stream that will damage your corals. So perhaps you can set it up to have as many as 10 output. It will be complicated to build but can be done. It when it is complete you still have too much pressure from the outputs you can throttle back the pump as necessary.
