    Recirculation pump vs power heads

What is the advantage of a closed loop recirculation system with an external pump over a few power heads? It seems to me that the power heads offer a much less expensive solution to recirculate tank water.

First off there is One less electrical cord going into your water, Less obstacles to be looking at that are not natural in appearance, No power heads to do maintenance on and lastly the in line pumps come with hight available flow rates.

Also, less damage/death to inverts such as cukes, anemones, etc...

I am thinking of getting a good pump and make a close-loop instead of having three power heads.. the look of the tank will be more eye pleasing than before also for the safety of the animals
