It's great food for corals with very small mouths, like acroporas. Nothing else I've tried is better for growth and colour. However, it's also VERY concentrated and using too much will spike your nitrates and cause an algae bloom. It's a powder and you really need to build up by starting with using a very tiny amount, like 1/8 teaspoon every other day.

I wouldn't use it with frozen foods, at least not until you've been using it for a good while and your tank is used to dealing with the extra nutrients. When I feed it I mix a bit in with some tank water, give it a good stir and dump it into the tank. Premixing it prevents it from floating on the top and getting sucked out the overflows.

I agree with Flame. I use Golden Pearls too and I find it very good for the corals. What I do is have a spice shaker jar with a premix of Golden Pearls, ESV Spray Dried Phyto, ground up ColorBits. I add this to the fishfood everyday and let it soak for a few minutes before dumping in the tank. I also gve a few shakes in the tank early in the mornings when it's still dark and I'm up for work. This is more to target the corals such as SPS and others that nightfeed.

Sorry, but I forgot to mention that I also add to my mix the freeze dried Cyclop eeze. Your mentioning it in the other thread made me remember I have it too.:

Forgot to mention that the reason I feed golden pearls at night is because of my clams. They don't like much particulate matter in the water, it bothers their gills. At night they are mostly closed up so it doesn't bother them.
