    Clams, Sandbed or Rocks

    Can larger clams be kept on the rockwork, who does what with their clams, i want to move one of mine to the rocks but i wasn't sure if it would be a helthy choice

    depends what type of clam. MAXIMAS and CROACEAS like the rocks. CROACEAS especially like to burn there way right into the rock work.
    SQUAMOSAS and DERESEAS like the sand bed.

    Hmm i'm not 100% sure what kind i have 3, 2 of them are very large, im sure they aren't dersa, but i'm not sure if they are squamosas or croaceas

    Teh two large ones are squamosas and the tiny one is a maxima

    I'd keep the big ones on the sand. If you don't want the maxima in the rocks you can place it on a old shell like a scallop shell. same as FLAME ANGEL does.

    Also, big clams are very strong. If you place them on the rockwork and they are sitting between two rocks that are part of the support structure, when they expand, they could topple the rocks.
