    Cool Hydro Bill Info Poll

I would like to find out what the average hydro bill is for us reefkeepers. Beginning with the most recent hydro bill covering the 2 month period of JAN&FEB. This is just for home owners please. thanks. I paid $370 last bill.

Our hydro bill is monthly but it's about $200 - $220 for January and February. Home heat is electric but we have a fireplace to supplement so that has an impact.
My current tank doesn't use too much hydro but I'm sure that once the new tank is up & running, the hydro bill will jump to about $300 bi-monthly.

Running a 400W MH, a 70W MH, a small always on LAN and having kids that never turn anything off costs me ~$100 a month.

    Cheers!

I'm hoping with Kyoto they'll seriously look at netmetering & allowing people to have solar panels / wind turbines.

Panels + an inverter would easily cancel out my MH lights & you can add to them over time.

With netmetering if you generate more than you use the Hydro company may have to send you a check at the end of the month.

It's happening now in a couple states.

    Cheers!

Our unMH tank runs about $15 a month tops. Another reason why I dont want a big tank. Our total is about 100$ bimonthly.

My bill is about $80 per month. Gas furnace, hotwater and dryer.

The other thing to consider is that without using any electricity, my bill is around $50-60 per month. The actual electric charge is the small part of the bill. :-S
