    Advice on MH bulb

Is anyone using a 175 watt 10000K bulb manufactured by ARC? I noticed they were on sale for 39.99$ and thats a pretty good deal. What to get some info on them before I buy them. Thanks

I have the 14000k 175w version and just love the colour. I've been using it for 3 weeks.

are the 14000k more blue than white? I'm going to be getting some in a few weeks and I don't want to buy the wrong ones.

Hey clown_fish, did you buy your bulb from Aquaria Canada and if so did you buy it online or goto the store in Hull? If you went to the store can you give me the directions on how to get there please. Thanks

    Very blue....

I like them though. Don't need actinic supplementation with these.

10k are super bright and need actinics. [very nice]
14k are very nice [what I use]
theres no real mistake but just taste differences. lower k ratings are brighter and more yellow.

Hey Dave88, yea i bought the 10000k thinking it would be blue enough but it wasn't at all it was really yellow even with four 30w super actinics. Returned it a week later for the 14000k and its definatly what i was looking for, hope it does well with the corals.
