    Sweet H&S Suite

So, I've finally decided to go with some high-end German equipment. I originally wanted to upgrade my Aqua C skimmer, and well, you know how things go sometimes. :biggrinbo

I call it my sweet H&S suite. I just installed my needle wheel skimmer and its begun to haul some serious skimmate out of the tank! These skimmers produced a lot of bubbles in a very intense manner. It is also much quieter than my previous set-up which was something that I was after as I will be building my tank into my living room wall. So I'm cutting down on noise as much as possible.

    Here are some photos.
Skimmer, Calcium Reactor and Nitrate Reactor....

    Ugly skimmate!

For those of you who may not have noticed.... there are 3 large Eheim pumps on the skimmer.... look behind the Calcium Reactor and the Nitrate Reactor...

I've seen this puppy in action... think of a 5 gallon Labrador water bottle with 3 BIG Eheim needle wheels churning away...
the picture doesn't do it justice...

    look here...
    It's not junk, it's un-assembled DIY!

Very nice equipement. Im curious about how long you were running the Aqua C skimmer on the 180g tank? You were underskimming right?

Not cheap for sure. Its the next generation of equipment, so its always pricy. All products are made from celcast which is not cheap for acrylic. All components are PVC welded which is not a cheap process for sure.

Its what I wanted in the end.

Hey Joseph, You gotta come by and check this puppy out!
The Ca Reactor will be up and running this week. I need something custom made by ReefVan for this installation to suit my needs. As you know, every set-up is different. The fun part about these units is that you can install them internally, or externally. My Nitrate reactor is internal to my sump which simplified things for me. I'll post more pics of the nitrate reactor.
