It's Time for th 400 Gal Tank

Well we finally closed the deal on some land in Crystal Beach today! We are going to the Arcitect tomorrow to start designing the house which will be started in March. So I need comments/suggestions on the perfect 400 gal reef system.
I would like to start from scratch and after a few weeks of suggestions I will come up with something and then post it so you can give some other insights.
So far the most definite ideas are:
Tank is going to be an Interamerican Tank 96 x 30 x 30 with Euro Bracing.
It will be viewed from 3 sides with the back 30 x 30 panel being in the wall with the overflow and closed loop originating from there.
2 x 2" Bulkheads for the Overflow and 2 x 1.5" bulkhead for the intakes on the closed loops.
The water will drop into a 150 gal rubbermaid trough into a fish room in the basement which will be returned via an Iwasaki 100RLT pump.
The closed loops will consist of 2 X 3600 Ampmaster pumps on alternating 30 min cycles, overlaping for 10 min on each.
Lights will be 4 250 watt DE MH PFO minipendants with 10,000K bulbs
I will try and modify my Koralin reactor so it is 36" tall and maybe get a new skimmer.

    Any suggestions?
I will try and get some initial diagrams up this week.

Hey Stig & Carie (sorry if I spelt the her name wrong)........Congratulations...I am very happy for you guys.

Anyways as for the tank..........Inter-american as we discussed would be a good option...they build great quality tanks from what I hear.

As for the rest of the setup.....I would look into this...just found it last day and it looks really incredible.........WHOLE THING RUNS ON 1 AIRPUMP.............Nothing else required to run your reef tank........cuts hydro by 80%

I to will be ordering from INTER, I was going to go 500g but I would have to build my own to get it thru the door and down the basement. I just bought a home in SEPT, and have the whole basement to myself!!! So I think I will go the 96"x30"x30". I might go a tad higher thow? maybe 34" and a long pair of tongs. I'm going to go the REERAT for returns as there less costly and built better than SEASWIRLS. The TUNZES are very nice but WAY out of budget. I'm also interested in the link that FISHPRICK provided with the WHEEL thing.I would think about IWAKIS as a return pump as they seem to have the best rep,.

thats very very close to what I was thinking about. possibly JUNE but maybe MAY. Ivan has a link/deal with Mitch I believe and maybe we could save a few dollars going this route. When the time comes lets work together to see what the best deal is for us. I'm very pumped!
